Reliance Transport, a trusted name in freight and logistics, has been operating for over 70 years. Throughout their long-standing history, they have expanded across five depots and continue to grow, adapting to the needs of a fast-paced, modern transport industry.

Challenge
Supporting a wide range of port customers and bulk freight operations, Reliance Transport operates 24/7. As their operations grew in Wiri, Auckland, so did the need for durable, reliable shelter solutions that could support around-the-clock work, protect their fleet, and enhance the comfort and safety of their staff, especially during downpours and night shifts.

Solution
In 2015, Reliance Transport installed their first SmartShelter. Impressed by the performance and durability, they have since expanded to four SmartShelters on site. Each shelter is equipped with integrated lighting, providing essential visibility and safety during night operations.

Reliance Transport is committed to future-ready, sustainable practices. With the introduction of electric trucks into their fleet and their innovative water recycling system, they have set a new standard for environmental responsibility in the industry.
Using the SmartShelters, they collect 100% of rainwater from the shelter roofs, storing it in water tanks cleverly positioned inside the containers, not only maximising water capture but also adding ballast weight to stabilise the structures. This sustainable system provides a year-round water supply, used onsite to wash their trucks, significantly reducing their reliance on external water sources.
