The South Caucasus Pipeline carries natural gas from Azerbaijan through Georgia to Turkey and the EU. The pipeline was commissioned in 2006 and is currently being re-laid in Azerbaijan. Two new gas compressors are being built in Georgia and once this expansion is complete the pipeline will carry up to 25 billion cubic meters of gas every year.

SmartShelters supplied four container mounted shelters to the Azfen-Saipem joint venture, which is contracting to BP to build the pipeline. SmartShelters’ container mounted shelters were chosen because of the ease of construction and relocation. A very attractive feature of the SmartShelters design was the twist-lock mounting beams, a beam system which makes installation in the field very quick and easy and allows for rapid relocation where required.

With local New Zealand projects and international projects, SmartShelters has really made a global impact. To get your SmartShelter today, no matter how big the project, contact us here.
